1. Overview
This Refund Policy explains when you may be eligible for a refund for purchases made through Microbe Studio. Because the Service delivers digital goods and a virtual Token wallet, the rules below describe what can and cannot be refunded. This policy does not limit any rights you may have under mandatory consumer-protection law.
2. Refund eligibility
You may request a refund within 14 days of a purchase if all of the following apply:
- the request is made within the window stated above;
- for a Token purchase, the Tokens have not yet been spent and remain in your wallet;
- for a License Package, the license has not been activated on a device and its capabilities have not been used;
- the purchase was not obtained through fraud or abuse, or in breach of our Terms of Service.
3. Non-refundable items
The following are generally not eligible for a refund:
- Tokens that have already been spent on a License Package or a Protected Flow;
- License Packages that have been activated or used, and time-based entitlements that have already begun;
- Protected Flows that have been authorised for, or downloaded to, a device, given their digital and protected nature;
- purchases outside the eligibility window, except where required by law.
4. How to request a refund
To request a refund, contact us at [email protected] with your account username, the order or request reference, and the reason for the request. As your payment is handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record, an approved refund is processed through the same provider.
5. Processing of refunds
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. The time for the funds to appear depends on your payment provider. Where a refund relates to Tokens, the corresponding Tokens are removed from your wallet.
