1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Microbe Studio desktop application, the Microbe Studio web portal available at microbe-studio.com, and all related services (together, the “Service”), operated by Microbe Studio (the “Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By creating an account, downloading the application, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Microbe Studio is a desktop automation product for building and running visual Android automation workflows, paired with a web portal for licensing, distribution and account management. The Service includes:
- License Packages — time-limited entitlements that unlock desktop capabilities within defined instance and device limits.
- Protected Flows — automation flows published by partners that you may purchase and run while their underlying logic stays protected.
- A Token wallet — Tokens are the platform's internal unit used to purchase License Packages and Protected Flows.
- An official download portal for the desktop application.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be of legal age to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Service.
Licenses and entitlements are bound to your account and, where applicable, to the specific devices you register. You may not share, resell, sublicense or transfer your account or entitlements except as expressly permitted in writing by the Company.
4. Tokens, pricing and payments
Prices for License Packages and Protected Flows are expressed in Tokens and are shown on the Pricing page and in the in-app store. Tokens are added to your wallet by purchasing a Token (funding) package; the corresponding amount is credited after the payment is confirmed.
Where card or other online payments are accepted, they are processed by Paddle, our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. Your purchase of Tokens is therefore also subject to Paddle's terms. Tokens have no cash value outside the Service, are non-transferable between accounts, and are not a deposit, credit instrument or currency.
All fees are stated exclusive of taxes unless noted otherwise; you are responsible for any applicable taxes. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
5. License Packages and entitlements
Purchasing a License Package grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable entitlement to use the corresponding desktop capabilities for the stated duration, subject to the instance and device limits of that package. Upgrades, renewals and scheduled downgrades apply as described at the point of purchase.
Free trials, where offered, may be limited to one redemption per account and/or per device. We may withdraw or revoke an entitlement that was obtained through fraud, abuse, or a breach of these Terms.
6. Protected Flows
Protected Flows are authored and published by partners. When you purchase a Protected Flow you receive the right to run it on your registered devices; you do not receive the right to view, edit, export, duplicate or redistribute its protected logic. The publisher remains responsible for the content and support of its flows.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- violate any applicable law or the rights of others;
- circumvent licensing, device binding, or the protection of Protected Flows;
- reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract source code or protected content except to the extent permitted by law;
- automate activity that breaches a third-party platform's terms or causes harm, fraud, spam or abuse;
- disrupt, overload or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure.
You are solely responsible for how you use the automation capabilities of the desktop application and for complying with the terms of any third-party services you automate.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including the Microbe Studio software, branding and content (excluding partner-published Protected Flows), is owned by the Company or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a limited right to use the Service and do not transfer any ownership to you.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Service in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that creates risk or legal exposure. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
11. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Company is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be subject to the courts of that jurisdiction, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise.
